Bilbao, November 6, 2023.-
The new technological-industrial project, ADI Data Center Euskadi, created by Grupo Teknei, Euskaltel, Dominion, and the Basque Government, is now a reality.
This new infrastructure, which will enable businesses and institutions to have significant cloud-based information storage capacity, lays its foundation today at the Science and Technology Park of Bizkaia, in the Ezkerraldea – Meatzaldea campus.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and members of the Basque Government, as well as other institutional authorities and representatives of companies in Euskadi who joined the Board of Directors of ADI.
The project, initiated at the end of September 2022, aims primarily to support the digital transformation of businesses and institutions in the Atlantic area, providing reliability, sustainability, scalability, and proximity. Not to mention the significant economic and social impact it will have on the surrounding area.
The center at the Ezkerraldea – Meatzaldea campus will start providing services in the first half of 2024 and will be the first of several that will be deployed in other locations in the region.
